I am so happy to share with you that the Daisy Briefs PDF sewing pattern is now available for download. You can purchase it either here or in my Etsy shop. The Daisy Briefs are a mid-rise, full-coverage panty with a fully enclosed gusset. Classic style meets everyday comfort for your new favorite pattern for undies. The gusset is longer in front than typical store-bought panties to provide extra protection and comfort. The Daisy briefs can be sewn in a wide variety of knit fabrics, from cotton/spandex jersey to stretch lace. Flat elastic finishes at the waist and leg openings are thin and less likely to be seen under clothing. The Daisy Briefs are easy to sew, only requiring straight and zigzag stitches. StylesStyle options include a basic brief (Style A), contrast triangular insert (Style B), a triangular cutout (Style C), and lace overlays (Style D). Elastics are applied flat, directly to the right side of the brief. SizesHaving an inclusive size range is important to me. We all need undergarments, right? I worked with lovely pattern testers of all shapes and sizes to ensure a good fit across the size range. Sizes included: Waist: 26-50” / 66-127cm Hip: 35-60” / 89-152cm Below is the size chart for more detailed information. Fabrics & TrimsHave some leftover knit fabric from another project? Or do you want to upcycle a t-shirt? It just might work here. The Daisy Briefs need fabrics with at least 40% stretch in both width and length. The pattern comes with a handy stretch guide to check your stretch percentage. The leg and waist openings can be finished with a wide range of elastics or stretch lace trims. The edge finishes are applied flat, meaning that they are not turned back so elastic/lace widths can range from 1/4" up to 1". Skill LevelAdventurous beginner. The Daisy Briefs have only a handful of seams, and are pretty easy to sew. Instructions are fully illustrated, and pattern includes a link for videos on sewing lingerie elastics. You only need to know how to sew straight and zig-zag stitches. There's a myth in the sewing world that you must have a serger for sewing knits, but that is simply not true. Most multi-stitch sewing machines are capable of sewing knits! PDF Pattern with LayersThis print-at-home PDF pattern has a fully illustrated 11 page instruction manual, which includes information on printing and assembling the pattern pages (printable on US letter and A4 paper), a size guide, and an elastic lengths chart. The pattern pages include a layers option to print only the sizes you need and a stretch guide for measuring the stretch percentage of fabrics. Where to BuyThe Daisy Briefs sewing pattern is available here in my store as a PDF digital download.
