PatternsFabricsFront is a printed liverpool from Uptown Fabric on Etsy. Cradle lining is stabilized tricot in nude from Fabric Depot Co. Back band is powernet from Spandex World. Trims1/2" plush bra strap elastic , hand dyed, from Sew Sassy. Coral fold over elastic is from a 100 yard roll from Sale and Bargain on Ebay. Fuschia hook and eye set is from Lace Heaven. Silver 1/2" rings/sliders from Porcelynne. I've used rings/sliders from several vendors, the ones from Porcelynne are definitely the best! Not as flimsy as the others. 1" band elastic is from Porcelynne also; it was a special closeout offer. This elastic is a bit wider than what I ended up using in the final pattern. Style NotesThis is one of my early samples for the Delvine Bralette, and I went on to slightly change the dart length and neckline curve. It was with this sample that I learned the dart really needed to go past the apex position to give a nice rounded shape.
The liverpool fabric has a bit more than 30% stretch, and it definitely isn't as supportive as the firmer fabrics I used in my other samples. That said, I still have a decent amount of support thanks to a wide band. I've had a few people ask me how to practically integrate the Delvine into everyday wear. I wear this particular sample, plus my white dazzle sample, when I walk my dog in the mornings to keep my chest protected from the sun. The athletic shirts that I usually wear are low v-necks, and sometimes I come home to find my delicate skin a bit crispy. I appreciate having another layer of protection.
