I'm so happy to share the first garment I made to be modeled by my new dress form! If you follow me on IG, you'll know I bought a plus size dress form a few months ago, and the poor girl was damaged during shipping. For two months I went back and forth with the Ebay seller and UPS, only in the end for them to deny the claim. Well, we must make do! I did a bit of repair to cover up her crushed leg, and now my new model is hard at work. PatternElodie Briefs in Style A. FabricsMain: double brushed poly in a mauve and coral floral print. I've had this in my stash for awhile, and can't remember exactly where I bought it. I think it was either Girl Charlee or fabric.com. Contrast: stretch mesh from Spandex World TrimCoral fold over elastic is from a whole roll I purchased from saleandbargain on Ebay. Style NotesPattern pieces were trimmed, as specified in the pattern, for using fold over elastic. Trimming is necessary so the gusset doesn't end up too wide.
Normally I don't use poly fabrics for panties, but this fabric was so pretty I wanted to use up every last scrap. I'm sorry there isn't a back view. My dress form has a big stand which would be in the way, and she weighs 70 lbs so moving her around isn't very easy. I'll have to think up a better idea for future photos.
