Hello, sewing friends!  It certainly has been awhile.  With all that is going on in the world, I wasn't able to keep up with my usual pace of creating.  But I am so happy to be back with you now, sharing a new pattern and hopefully providing some inspiration for future sewing projects.

After nearly six months of work behind the scenes, I am happy to finally share with you the Delvine Bralette!  The Delvine is a wire-free bralette designed for low-stretch fabrics.  With six front styles and three back styles, the design possibilities are endless!  Cups are shaped with a bust dart, and a 3/4"/19mm elastic band provides support.
Picture
The basic front is a great canvas to show off bold prints, such as the sample above at left, created in a Liverpool fabric.  You can also use swim fabrics to make a swimsuit top.

If you've been saving up your pretty lace trim, the Delvine is a great opportunity to show it off!  Lace overlays sewn to a sheer fabric, such as the sample above with sheer cup lining, create a lovely nude illusion.

Or use bra tulle that matches your lace for a monochromatic look.  Something about this one kept making me think of The Little Mermaid.

If you wish to show off more skin, try out one of the keyhole neck options. Sample above at left uses a dotted mesh over bra tulle.

One back option provides lots of coverage and has a princess line with lace.

Other back options are a halter back and traditional back with anchored strap atttachments.

Now for the pattern details:

Sizes

Underbust 30-42”/76.2-106.7cm
Full bust 31-47”/78.7-119.4cm
See Size Chart in pattern listing for details.

Fabrics & Trims

Self Fabrics: low stretch knits (less than 30% stretch) such as: 15 denier tricot, bra tulle, sheer cup lining, nylon tricot, nylon chiffon, dazzle tricot. For fabrics with more stretch (such as liverpool or scuba), line Front with a more stable fabric or use the same fabric cut on the opposite grain. Wovens can also work, just cut the cups on the bias grain and the cradle on the straight grain.

Lining: sheer cup lining, stabilized tricot, bra tulle. Needs to be lightweight and non-stretch.

Band: powernet, techsheen

Trims: fold over elastic (FOE); ½”/12mm strap elastic; ¾”/19mm plush back elastic for band; 3-row hook and eye closure; 2 rings and 2 sliders, ½”/12mm; G-hook, ½”/12mm for Back K; stretch lace trim for Fronts C, D, E, F, Cradle H and Back I.  Width of stretch lace trim varies by size, see chart for details.
