Introducing the Maritza Sports Bra

I am so happy to share with you my new pattern, the Maritza Sports Bra!

Designed for athletic knits with a high spandex content, the Maritza Sports Bra provides support with a beautiful shape. Maritza is fully lined for comfort and a clean finish. Stabilized fabric straps provide extra support.

Front options include: plain lining, foam cup lining, and lace overlays.

Back options include: lined, unlined, hook and eye closure, and straight back with adjustable straps.

Maritza is fully lined for comfort and extra support.

Sizes

Sizes to fit:
Underbust 30-42”/76.2-106.7cm
Full bust 32-48”/81.3-122cm

Fabrics

Martiza is designed for stretch knits with at least 10% spandex and 30-50% stretch. This includes athletic knits, swim nylon/spandex, scuba, milliskin, and other performance spandex fabrics. The level of support is determined by your fabric choices. Linings can be made from stretch mesh, powernet or self fabrics.

Trims

Edges are finished with fold over elastic.
The covered band uses 1" elastic. Back G has the option for making an exposed elastic band.
Back F uses a 2-row hook and eye closure
Back G uses 1/2" strap elastic, and 2 sets of rings and sliders.

hi, new to this, please advise what fabric recommended for stabilizer? if possible, a pic, as i dont know all makes of fabric?

Hi Carina. I use stabilized tricot, also called sheer cup lining. Here is an example from Bra Builders: https://www.brabuilders.com/collections/cup-fabrics/products/sheer-cup-lining-stabilized-sheer-tricot

It is just to stabilize the straps, so you could also use a piece of pre-shrunk thin woven fabric, like muslin or quilting cotton.
