If the top of the bridge is sticking away from the body, or there is tightness/stress lines at the bottom of the bridge at the abdomen, you might need to increase the width of the bridge. When the bridge fits correctly, the side curves will follow the inframammory fold (IMF) of the breast closely, and the top of the bridge should rest near the chest, though probably not against the chest since Annika and Zenita are without underwires. When increasing the width you may need to add width overall top to bottom, or just to the bottom. It is helpful to make your fitting sample in sheer cup lining, not only because it is economical, but the sheerness also helps you find and fix the fitting problems. The top of the bridge should match the width between your breasts. Both Annika and Zenita are designed with a 1/2"/12mm width at the top of the bridge, which is quite close together. If you are wider set, you will probably need to add more space. If you have made your fitting sample from a sheer fabric, and if you can see your inframammory fold away from the bridge, you need to add more width. Cut down the middle of the bridge and add the necessary space. If the top of the bridge width fits well, but there is tightness or horizontal stress lines at the bottom, you might need extra width at the bottom only. If you have an abdomen shape that slopes outwards, you are likely to need this adjustment. Beginning at the bottom of the bridge, cut up the middle but stop before reaching the seamline. Make another small snip from the top down to the seamline, leaving a small hinge. If you accidentally cut all the way through, just repair it with a piece of tape. Open the bridge at the bottom the necessary amount. The best way to determine the amount you need would be to cut the bridge of your fitting sample and see how much the pieces spread until you feel the tightness dissipate.
