This week's set features beautiful bright turquoise and some lovely roses and lace. PatternsFabricsIris Bralette uses 95/5 cotton/spandex jersey, around 200 gms/m2, from unknown origin. It has been in my stash for awhile and I can't remember where I bought it. The lining is a stretch mesh from Spandex World. The light aqua power net is also from Spandex World. Sunflower Panty uses a lightweight rayon/spandex jersey print from Girl Charlee. These are scraps leftover from my Mirri Top. TrimsIris Bralette: Uses elastics I had leftover from various projects, hand dyed by me to a lovely bright turquoise. I was lucky that the 624 Turquoise jacquard dye from Dharma Trading just happened to match my fabric perfectly. Sunflower Panty: All edges are finished with a very soft 1/2" stretch lace I received in a stretch lace value pack from Fabric Depot Co. Style NotesIris Bralette: While cotton/spandex isn't the most supportive fabric, I prefer breathable fabrics in the bras I wear for exercising. This is one of the prototypes for my pattern, and as you can see I sewed the straps with the O-ring at the front. I always struggle with attaching the ring at the front because of so many bulky layers. After making this sample, I decided I preferred to have the ring at the back. A folded over back strap attachment felt much more secure to me.
Sunflower Panty: I'm not really a fan of thongs, and usually only wear them when necessary with fitted pants and skirts. So when I made this panty, I wanted to be sure all the edges would be very soft and comfortable. I think I prefer lace over elastics for this particular style.
